FAQs
Why are the order/quote numbers in QV not sequential?
To generate sequential numbers in any multi-user system creates a serious resource bottleneck as potentially hundreds of connections wait to get an exclusive lock (which is exactly what it sounds like) on the table which stores the last known number. This exclusive lock is necessary as each connection needs to be able to guarantee that it and it alone has read and then updated the last known number.
In a high-concurrency system like Accelerate, it is important to generate numbers which are guaranteed to be unique, but not sequential. This allows the computer to take a number of shortcuts which means that the resource bottleneck is eliminated.
What address will appear as the default delivery address on an order?
The currently valid address which is marked as Primary on the relationship.

Can the Standard Equipment Specification Data be on the quote template?
As our document production works off of fixed PDF's there is no way to attach this information to the quote templates. This is because there is no way to predetermine how many pages this information will require and will be different on a quote by quote basis. The best way to do this is to download this data to Excel and then convert it to a PDF, you will then be able to add this to the quote where necessary. You can do this by going to Standard Equipment and then click on the download button beneath the Spec Data.
Can I input "Source" at the relationship level?
The "Source" you will see on your Relationships is not entered at the Relationship level, when a Relationship is created it has no Source, when the first Opportunity is added this Source becomes the Relationship Source.

How are RVs treated in Accelerate for the various vehicle types?
RVs in Accelerate are displayed as per the values in the cap-hpi RV tables, modified by and modifier set on the relevant calculation default.
Cars have the current rate of VAT deducted from the displayed figure.
LCVs (unless they are marked by cap-hpi as being treated as a car for tax purposes) have their RVs passed to the calculator as is.
The rationale behind this is that one would normally expect an LCV to be sold from the leasing company to another VAT registered business at disposal. The system will however, "net" the RV if the vehicle has been marked by cap-hpi as "treat as a car for tax purposes".
Where you do not anticipate that the vehicle will be sold by the leasco in a manner which retains its VAT Qualifying status, you will need to "net" the RV before calculating.
