Contacting Your Relationships
It is quick and easy to contact your relationships using Accelerate. You can contact your relationships via Email or SMS.

It is quick and easy to contact your relationships using Accelerate. You can contact your relationships via Email or SMS. To send an email, you can either click on the email address in the relationships table or use the 'Email' dropdown within a relationship. For sending an SMS, you can click on the mobile number in the relationships table or use options like 'SMS' button on the Relationship page or 'Add Text Message' button under the 'Text Messages' dropdown. Additionally, you can view previously sent SMS messages by accessing the 'Text Messages' dropdown within a relationship.
Contacting a Relationship via Email
Sending an email by clicking the email address in the relationships table
Click ‘Relationships’ on the top menu bar. Then click on the email address of your chosen relationship:
The following menu will be displayed:
Here you can enter your subject and add any attachments. You can also select one of your email templates too. Click ‘Send’ when your are ready.
Sending an email via the ‘Email’ dropdown within a relationship
Click the Pencil Icon on your relationship of your choice. Then scroll down to the ‘Emails’ dropdown:
Click ‘Add Email’ and the following menu will be displayed:
Here you can enter your subject and add any attachments. You can also select one of your email templates too. Click ‘Send’ when you’re ready.
Sending an email to a contact on a relationship
For a relationship of a business type, you may wish to send an email to a contact on that relationship. To do this, click the Pencil Icon on the relationship of your choice. Then scroll to the ‘Contacts’ dropdown and click on the email for that contact:
The following menu will be displayed:
Here you can enter your subject and add any attachments. You can also select one of your email templates too. Click ‘Send’ when you are ready.
Contacting a Relationship via SMS
Note: If the customer is a business, the number you are texting will be the mobile number of the primary contact.
The name that appears on the text must be less than 11 characters long.
You can only send a text to a mobile number
Send a SMS by clicking the mobile number in the relationships table
Click ‘Relationships’ on the top menu bar. Then click on the mobile number of your chosen relationship:
The following menu will be displayed:
If you have an SMS Template setup - you can select it under the ‘Template’ dropdown
Enter your message and ensure you choose whether you want the customer to be able to respond by setting the ‘Replyable’ field to 'Yes' or 'No'.
When you are ready, click ‘Send’ to send your SMS:
The contact will receive an SMS that looks like the below:
As you can see, because the 'Replyable' field was set to 'No' there is no number in the sender's details. It will only display your company name.

You can also send a text to a contact by clicking the ‘SMS’ button when viewing a relationship:
Then follow the remaining steps from ‘Send a SMS by clicking the mobile number in the relationships table’ to send an SMS.
Send an SMS by clicking the Add Text Message in the Text Messages Dropdown
You can also send a text by clicking the ‘Add Text Message’ button under the ‘Text Messages’ dropdown when viewing a relationship:
Then follow the remaining steps from ‘Send an SMS by clicking the mobile number in the relationships table’ to send an SMS.
Sending an SMS to a Contact on a Relationship
If your relationship is of a business type, you may want to send a text message to a contact for that Relationship.
Click the Edit Pencil on a business relationship. Then scroll to the ‘Contacts Dropdown’. Then click the mobile number for that contact:
The following menu will be displayed:
Enter your message and whether you wish your SMS to be replyable to. Then click ‘Send’:
The contact will then receive your SMS:
See previously sent SMS messages
In order to keep track of the text messages you have sent to a relationship, click the Edit Pencil on a relationship. Then scroll to the ‘Text Messages’ dropdown - you will be able to view all text messages you have sent to that relationship:
