Opportunity Contacts
Contact Roles allow you to define each contact's role within an opportunity for their relationship. This helps make sure you're emailing the right person with the right information.
To start, the individual must be added as a contact in the relationship before you can define their role on the opportunity. If you're unsure how to do this, have a look at this article.
After you've added your contact to the relationship, open an existing opportunity by clicking the Edit Pencil:
Once editing the opportunity, the primary contact on the relationship will be defaulted to the decision maker. However you can edit that Contact Role by clicking the Edit Pencil, or add an extra Contact Role using the ‘Add Contact Role’ button:
When adding a new Contact Role you will be able to define the role that individual plays within the business and also whether they will be the contact where any automated actions will deliver emails or SMS messages to:
Once you have added all of the Contact Roles required, these contacts will appear on any subsequent Quotes and Orders under that Opportunity.
