Bulk Merge Relationships
If you have a lot of relationships that you want to merge, then you may benefit from using the Dataloader functionality to upload a file of the merges you wish to perform and allowing the Dataloader to do this for you.
If you have not used the Dataloader before, you will need to contact QV Systems Support Hub and ask for permission to use the Relationship Merge mapper. Once you are setup, you can access the functionality at https://dataloader.quotevineapp.com using your normal Accelerate credentials.
You will need to prepare a CSV file of the relationship id's that you wish to merge. The first column in the CSV should be the target relationship id, this should be followed by the id(s) of the relationships you wish to merge with the target e.g.
12345,11111,22222,33333
23456,55555
112345,123456,44444
This CSV file would merge relationship ids 11111, 22222 and 33333 with relationship 12345. It would perform each of these merges in turn, so 11111 would be merged first, then 22222 and then 33333. The file shouldn't contain any headers and should only contain ids. The same rules apply as if you were performing the relationship merge within the Accelerate application, for example the relationships must be of the same legal form type, however you are able to skip the check which enforces that the account managers must be the same.
Once you have prepared your CSV file, go to https://dataloader.quotevineapp.com and login with your Accelerate credentials. Select 'Relationship Merge' as the Data Type and choose the file you wish to upload, then click “Next”:
You will then be presented with a preview of the data uploaded from the file, with the option to skip the account manager check:
Clicking “Confirm” will perform all the merges. You will see a thank you page and the processing will happen in the background. Once you see the thank you page, you are free to upload another file or close the tab, you will receive an email when the merges have finished. This email will provide details of how many merges were successful and if there were any errors, details of which merges had an error and what that error was.
