SMS Configuration

There are two settings which can be used to control SMS messages, SMS Originator and SMS Footer.

SMS Originator controls the sender details of SMS messages sent from your Quotevine. The maximum length of this field is 11 characters and you can either use:

• a text string e.g. QUOTEVINE, Quotevine, quotevinefs (The case you enter will be respected) 

• a UK mobile number

Note: if you use a text string your recipients cannot reply. If you use a UK mobile number they can.

To specify your SMS Originator follow these steps:

1. Click Settings on the top menu  

2. Click the Organisation Settings button 

3. Enter your desired value in the SMS Originator box 

4. Click Save

To specify an SMS footer (which will be added to all SMS automatically) follow these steps:

1. Click Settings on the top menu 

2. Click the Organisation Settings button

3. Enter your desired text in the SMS Footer box

4. Click Save

Note: as the footer will increase the length of your messages, this may increase your SMS spend.
