User Management

User Management

The portal can be used by both your internal members of staff and any other introducers or suppliers who may send proposals to you directly. All of their profiles can be managed within the portal by any Administrator users.

To edit any users, an Administrator user should navigate to Admin > Users, and they will be presented with a list of all who have access to the portal:

Internal Staff Users

Once your portal is set up and configured, any of your staff members who have a login for your Accelerate client will be able to login to the portal using the same credentials.

When an internal staff user has logged in for the first time, their profile will appear in Users list within Admin.

To edit any settings for a user, click on their name and you will be taken to the Edit User screen. Within here you can update a users name and email address. You can also define the levels of access they will have within the portal:

The Active flag can be used to define when a user can access the portal, so if a staff member leaves the business or no longer requires access to the portal you can mark them as inactive.

The Staff Member flag allows you to mark which users are internal staff members, and which are external third party users.

Admin users will have access to the Admin section of the portal and will be able to edit any settings and configuration.

If you would like users to have two-factor authentication when logging into the portal, this can be defined using the Requires 2FA flag. When this is enabled a user will be prompted to set up a secure way of validating their login.

You are also able to restrict how users can utilise the portal by Journey Types and Brokers/Suppliers. This is useful if you have select team members who deal with, for example, Hard Asset journey types for a select number of Brokers and Suppliers.

A user must have access to at least one Journey Type to be able to submit a proposal.

If you want to restrict which Brokers or Suppliers a user could submit proposals for, please select these from the available list. If no Broker or Suppliers are selected, a user can submit proposals on behalf of any Brokers or Suppliers.

Third Party/External Users

The portal is a useful tool to allow your introducers or suppliers to submit proposals to your team directly into Accelerate. If you want to give a third party access to the portal, you will need to set them up as a user within the portal.

If a third party is set up as a user within your portal, they do not have access to Accelerate

To add a new user to your portal, go to Admin > Users and select the ‘Add User’ button:

This will bring you to a blank user record, where you can add in the name and email address of the user you require. The email address entered will be the username that they will use to log into the portal.

You can then set up any settings required for the user relating to their Admin status, two-factor authentication and Journey Types.

As with internal staff users, a third party user must have access to at least one Journey Type to be able to submit proposals successfully

It is then useful to restrict a third party user by the broker or supplier that they are proposing deals for, otherwise they will be able to submit proposals for any of your brokers or suppliers listed in Accelerate. Once a broker or supplier is selected for a user this will default onto any proposal they create in the Portal.

Upon saving the new user record, a welcome email will be sent to that user prompting them to activate their account and log in for the first time.
