Adding a User

If you have a new starter then you'll need to set them up on Accelerate! There are two ways to do this:

  1. Copying an existing user

  2. Creating a user from scratch

If the user you want to create will require similar permissions to an existing user, then copying that user is easiest. If the user you want to create is unique, then creating the user from scratch is easiest.

Copying an Existing User

Click Settings in the menu and and scroll to the 'Users' section:

Open the user you want to copy by clicking the edit pencil on the far left of the relevant row.

Once the user account has opened, click the ‘Copy User’ button in the top right of the Edit User screen.

Now you can complete the email address, forename, surname, mobile number and DDI number of the new user.

The toggles at the bottom of the screen control which elements of the source user should be copied to the new user. Adjust these as desired and click Save to create your new user.

Creating a User From Scratch

Click Settings in the menu and and scroll to the 'Users' section:

If the 'Add User' button is red this means you are already using all of your licensed users. If you wish to add another license please email: support@qv.systems:

If you have enough user licenses already then the button will appear the normal colour:

Select add user and you'll find yourself on a screen similar to below:

 

Fill in as much detail as you can, you can use the following fields to define the level of access:

Default Administrator

This is the administrator that will be assigned to all of this users deals/orders by default

Default Legal Form

Use this to set the default relationship type when the user is adding a new relationship. For example, if they mainly deal with private individuals - set this as the Default Legal Form

Administrator

The user can edit settings and add new users

Relationships

The user will have access to the relationship records

Messages

 The user will have access to messages sent to/from the system

Task Mgmt

The user will have access to the tasks system

Quotes and Orders

The user will be able to enter and manage quotes and orders

Cust. Doc. Alert.

The user will be emailed whenever a new customer document is uploaded

Silo User

This user can only see their own accounts

Acc. Mgr. R/O

Check this if the user should NOT be able to change the account manager on a relationship. We recommend this box should be checked for a normal user.

Order Report R/O

Check this if the user should NOT be able to change the status dropdowns on the orders report. We recommend this box should be checked for a normal user.

Seq. Assign

The user will be able to assign sequence values to a quote/order

Display Net Prices

The prices from CAP will be displayed as the net price.

Default Quote Stock

The quote screen will show stock vehicles rather than the CAP database.

IMPORTANT: If you have more than one brand you will need to grant your new user access to the brand(s) they need to use.

Once you're happy, press the save button. Accelerate will send the new user an email with their temporary password and the link for the support site. Please ask the new user to review the Getting Started articles so they can familiarise themselves with the system!
