Deleting Unwanted Records

As you'll have seen in our article on Organisation Settings, we usually recommend that 'No Quote Delete', 'No Relationship Delete' and 'No Document Delete' are all left checked. However, if someone at your organisation creates a record you need to delete, here's how: 

  1. Compile a list of all objects that need deleting.

  2. Outside of normal working hours, log onto the system, head to Settings > Organisation Settings, uncheck the relevant boxes and hit 'Save'. 

  3. Log out of the system, and log back in again to pick up the new settings 

  4. Find the objects you need to delete, and delete them.

  5. Head back into Settings > Organisation Settings and set the boxes back to being checked. Hit 'Save'. 

  6. Log out of the system

  7. Log back into the system and make sure the settings have been picked up before the rest of the team start using Quotevine again.
