Adding Stock
To begin, go to the 'Stock' tab in the top menu. Then input the vehicle registration details and press 'Lookup'. Quotevine will then use the HPI database to find out as much information as it can about the car and it will appear here.
Then you can input any missing information that you might have. At this point, you might want to add in extra details about the vehicle like a double cab or a freezer unit. In which case, press the 'More Detail' button and this check list will appear.
You can tick as many boxes as is relevant to the vehicle. Now, just make sure you press save!
Now you can add in expenses for the vehicle. Simply click 'Add Expense' and fill in the details that appear.
In order to add an offer to this vehicle, you will need to go into the relevant opportunity. Once here, press 'Show Stock Vehicles' and a list of your stock will appear. If you want to go back to the CAP database, the 'Show Stock Vehicles' button will be replaced with 'Show CAP Database' so you can just press this button again.
Once you have chosen the correct vehicle, press the green tick and a quote will be created using your stock vehicle.
Now, you can go back to your stock vehicle under the 'Stock' tab and you will find your offer details here.
You can also add contracts to the vehicle. Simply press 'Add Contract' and fill in the details. If you want to add a document to the stock vehicle information, press 'Add Document' where you will be prompted to load a document from your computer onto the page. Make sure you save as you go through by clicking the 'Save' buttons!
Then, all your stock vehicles will be stored here.
Instead of having to scroll through to find the stock vehicle you want, you can use the filters at the top of the table. Just type in the registration number of the car you want, or look at all the vehicles with a certain fuel type and press enter on your keyboard. Then all the relevant vehicles will turn up. To clear the filter, just press the 'Clear Filters' button.
